Lesson Structure
Lessons will be half an hour sessions. Each lesson will be $30 to be paid monthly on the first of each month ($120-$150 a month). Payments are accepted via cash, check, or Apple Pay. I will send out payment reminders the week before they are due. Lessons will take place at my home studio located in Alton, IL.
Scheduling
Your lesson will be at the same time on the same day every week. If you need to reschedule or cancel a lesson please reach out at least 24 hours before your scheduled lesson time. If you need to cancel you will not be reimbursed for the lesson. If the cancellation is on my part due to illness, weather, or conflicts, you will receive a credit for this lesson that will be applied to the next month. Credits will not be refunded. They must be used for a lesson.
Expectations
I require students to have a 3 ring binder, notebook, their own violin (rented or owned), and a shoulder rest or shoulder sponge. Students are required to bring their instrument, notebook, music binder, and a pencil to each lesson. Please arrive on time. Parents are allowed to come into the lesson studio or they may wait in their vehicle. There is no “waiting room”. If you have multiple children with you, I ask that you please remain in the car to avoid distractions.
Vacations and Leave of Absence
You must give 1 month notice for any absence longer than 2 weeks. You may take a leave of absence for 3 weeks to a month at a time (if you need longer than a month we can discuss your options). If you do not give the appropriate amount of notice, you will be expected to pay for that month in full. Any 1 week absence can be reschduled as a make up lesson.
